While walking along Route 29, just casually exploring, Victoria feels something touching the top of her head. When she glances up, she notices a Swablu is...dusting her head? Maybe it thought her brown-black hair was dirty?

Swablu chirps again as it examines her with a critical eye. Then it nods. Well, bobs its body in a facsimile of a nod. Seems it's pleased with its work. Of course, now its fluffy wings are all dirty. It looks around for a stream or something to clean up in. Then it remembers there isn't one immediately nearby and pouts a little.

Victoria tries to bring up a nearby map, trying to look for a pond or stream or anything to carry the Swablu to. Otherwise she 'may' have to take it to her next civilized destination.

Victoria nearly smacks herself when she realizes that New Bark Town is technically "on the coast". Route 27's main thoroughfare is water-based.

Quickly and easily reaching the water's edge, Swablu hops out of Victoria's arms to clean itself in the shallows. It seems much happier after, even if its wings are now wet and heavy.

Victoria pulls out her hair towel (Her dreads absorb water like nobody's business) and goes to work drying the creature out. After it's wings are more dry, she stands back up.
"There! All better!"

Swablu seems to have claimed Victoria's head as its perch, so it may as well help her out further. She was nice to it, after all.
Swablu is level 4, Male, Cuddly, with Natural Cure.

She bops it with a ball. That's her first capture (outside of Leibling of course). A fine little pokemon, indeed. And so soft and fluffy!
She lets it back out and hugs it.
"Eeeeeeee, thank you!"
With that, she continues on the path, wondering what else she'll run into.
